FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The following information should help out with frequently asked questions to the league. We do have specific division FAQ's that offer more detail to those, as well as information about coaching, umpiring and general volunteering. If there is something you don't find, please don't hesitate to ask us.

Q - What is the cost to play?
A - Registration fees are set based on the league age of the player which varies by date of birth. See registration tab for specific breakout.

Q - When does the season start and end?
A - The practice season starts after the parent & coach meetings. Games start no later than April 16th and go through June, with our older divisions finishing up prior to June 15th. Practices typically begin around Spring Break.

Q - Does my player needs to be evaluated?
A - All baseball and softball players age 7 and up, must attend Player Assessments. Make sure to arrive EARLY for your age group listed on the website (posted in early February), to get your evaluation number and warm-up. You must attend the session for your child's "league age". All players must attend at least one of Assessments in order to be considered for their highest potential playing level. Players that do not attend assessments will be placed at their lowest potential level with consideration of prior year playing at CLL.

Q - Can I request a coach or to be on the same team with friends?
A - Yes, during registration, there is an area to request a coach and/or friends. However this is not guaranteed. We do consider requests for our T-Ball and Coach Pitch Divisions based on school classmates and carpool necessity. For all Minor and higher divisions, teams are created based on their assessment skill level to create balanced teams.

Q - When does registration close?
A - Registrations usually will close at the close the middle of March. However we do take late registrations for younger divisions beyond that date and some for the older divisions depending on the number of players per team. Please note that online registration is usually turned off during our Assessment Days.

A - Each year the league works out details for fundraising in our January Board Vendor Meeting. Fundraising usually is information that is passed out to the players once teams are formed.
